Free Medical Bill Review Checklist

No upload. No AI. No account required. Your answers stay in your browser.

Don’t wait until the bill arrives.

Before you get treated, admitted, or asked to pay, run this checklist and know what to ask. EasyLife helps you check itemized charges, insurance EOBs, cash prices, charity care, payment plans, and collection risks — so you don’t move a bill onto a credit card before you’ve worked every option.

And if the bill is already on your kitchen table, the same checklist still applies: answer each question and you get a prioritized Medical Bill Action Plan — the exact steps to take next, in the order that protects you most. This is educational information, not legal or medical advice, and no checklist can guarantee a lower bill — but it makes sure you never pay, panic, or reach for a credit card before asking the questions that routinely change the number.

How it works

  1. Answer the checklist

Eight quick questions about your bill — insured or self-pay, the list adapts.

  2. Get your action plan

A prioritized plan appears instantly: what to request, what to check, what to say.

  3. Download it as a PDF

Take the plan with you — and work it before the bill goes anywhere near a credit card.

FAQ

Can medical bills really be negotiated?

Yes. Hospitals publish discounted cash prices, nonprofit hospitals must offer financial assistance, and the CFPB explicitly advises negotiating bills down and asking for interest-free payment plans. The checklist shows which of those levers you haven't used yet.

What is the No Surprises Act?

A federal law (since 2022) that bans most surprise balance bills for emergency care and for out-of-network providers at in-network hospitals. Self-pay patients also get a Good Faith Estimate — and can dispute a bill that comes in $400 or more above it.

Is my information uploaded anywhere?

No. The checklist and your action plan are generated entirely in your browser — your answers are never sent to a server. Only if you choose to email yourself the PDF do we store your email address.

Is it really free?

Yes. The checklist is free with no sign-up, like every EasyLife tool that runs in your browser. You only enter an email if you want the PDF action plan and the free Debt Freedom Starter Kit.
